ncveteranswife - thanks! I will add it to the Halloween deals list I plan to post tomorrow.

Raesmom - if they had bad attitudes and made you feel uncomfortable, you should call. Even if a store will not take a coupon, there are positive ways to let a customer know that. With that said, CVS is much more coupon friendly as a whole than Walgreens. Yours is a perfect example of that.

scan we cant take it. I just asked for my coupon back and went right across the street to cvs. They were having an issue with the free milk coupon not scanning, but the two cashiers made it work and took my coupon for me with no hesitation!! I VERY RARELY do the drugstores but Rae really needed milk and HT is just to far of a drive this late. This is not the first time I've had problems at this particular walgreens and I've gotten to the point where I will never step into that Walgreens again, even if they are giving stuff away!!! Faye (or everyone) am I doing too much if I call and complain to corporate?

Rant over thanks for listening (reading lol)

Faye~I'm so glad you had such a positive experience at Kroger. Me on the other hand was not such a pleasant experience at Walgreens tonight. What should have taken me no more than 15 minutes (including drive time) took me 45!!! I got the free milk coupon when I was in buffalo. I recently printed it out an went to use it tonight at Walgreens. I get there and ask a manager before I go get the milk f they will except the coupon. He says "we will have to scan the product first" I go back and get my milk, wait at the register and the cashier (not such a good attitude) tries scanning it. It doesn't go through. She gives me the excuse that because the milk is on sale for 2.99 and the coupon says up to 4.00 I cant use it. So I ask can they override the coupon to make it worth the amount of the mlk, before I could fnish my sentence, she yells across the register to the manager (who was cashing out other people) and says "Will this aint scanning, what do you want me to do" he says if it doesn't

    Continued from below post:

What really surprises me is that the very nice customer service person from corporate called after 5 pm and was so grateful to receive a nice note. She actually said that all they ever get are complaints and she was so happy to read a positive note! lol As sad as that is, I was really happy to know they would pass on my notes to Rebecca's division mgr.

So, if you know Rebecca at the Kroger Garner pharmacy - tell her: Well Done!

And this little interaction has restored my faith in Kroger. Of course, it helps that they gave me a $25 credit to my card because I transferred the prescription to them, as well! lol

I had a very good experience at the Garner Kroger pharmacy on Sunday & I had to share.

When I called to have my prescription transferred to the Kroger pharmacy, the young lady on the phone was so friendly & had excellent customer service. She didn't seem rushed or impatient (as some pharmacy employees can be) and I was actually surprised by how pleasant the phone call had been.

When I went to pick up the prescription a few hours later, it was ready to go & the same young lady, Rebecca, was there to help me. She was just as kind, friendly & professional in person as she had been on the phone. I thanked her for being so nice & told her manager the same thing.

Yesterday, I e-mailed Kroger corporate about the very positive experience & asked that my comments be passed on to her division manager so they knew what a positive representative Rebecca was for Kroger.

Just a few minutes ago, I got a call from Kroger corporate to thank me for my e-mail! I am shocked & impressed!

The Wounded Warrior website indicates that the new coupons should be available tomorrow:

If they are up and running tomorrow I will make a thread about it but I wanted to give everyone a heads up. When they offered these coupons last year, they were high value and made for some very good deals.

Also, at Food Lion starting tomorrow, we can buy a Wounded Warriors bracelet or chip clip for $1 as a donation to this important cause.
