mwilson, Last week there were a number of stores who had candy canes for .88 per box (of course it was last week). There are none this week. Looks like Walmart and Dollar Tree are best bets this week. Thanks for the info pre-K and juanita! I still need 1 more box.

Faye, that would be great! I'm really thinking about what we can do tomorrow. The girls have really gotten into it this year. I'm glad my oldest was with my husband tonight to witness this particular act. Diane, I hope it's not over! He said the bins were all overflowing and I added two bags of toys. The cashier said they should be picking it up tonight. I sure hope all those toys make it to some homes!

sarah - that's an amazing story. Talk about paying it forward. You've encouraged me to make a special effort to pay it forward tomorrow. Maybe we should make tomorrow Pay it Forward Day here on the blog. Yep - that's what I'm going to do. If you don't mind, I'll be using your story as inspiration for everyone. Thanks!

Faye - although the Torani free coupons went real fast, folk should still be able to get a $1.00/1 coupon that they're offering (if they haven't run out of that one, too.) You're right, had to jump through hoops to get it to print - and it would only let me print it once.

Sarah - I was going to drop off the Matchbox cars I bought at Walgreens yesterday since they were only .69/each with their coupon. but the Toys for Tots website says their program is over for this season. Any suggestions on where else I could donate them? (I don't have any kids.)

My husband just came back from the Food Lion on Durant. I sent him to drop off our Toys for Tots donations. He said he saw a woman pay for the entire grocery bill for an older couple (over $140). He said it looked like the man was a disabled veteran. The wife was so happy that she started crying. My girls and I have been doing one random act of kindness every day this month, but this inspired me to really step it up! I thought I'd share because I hope it makes everyone else as happy as it made me!
