we are not a big fan of the seasoned steamers. We have tried several They are overwhelming in garlic and have a weird greasy after taste. Even if they are free I usually pass on these. I'm like to add my own seasonings.

and thanks again everyone for ideas on storing the coupons. I really think I'm going to try to only clip the ones we'll keep because I don't go to coupon swaps. I do like to have the ones on hand that I know I won't use to send to those that will

I got that deal on the seasoned veggies as well. I got 4 bags of potatoes and 2 broccoli but we've not eaten any yet. I think I paid around .09 for each so I'm not out a lot if we don't like them...I just really hating throwing out food. :(

That's a good way to look at it, sarahoconnor. At least I only paid about 15 cents for them. Still - you would think they would be edible. :-(

Faye, we bought those and threw them out. I thought they tasted "chemically". I was glad I had paid next to nothing for them!

For those of you who don't want to cut out all of the coupons, I use sheet protectors and place them in the back of my notebook. The inserts fit nicely and you always have them with you if you need them.

That's a great idea, smolder! The dijon taste wasn't just strong, it was odd as well. I don't think I'll try that with the other bags of carrots Ihave, but that's a good idea for using the seasoned broccoli I also have in the freezer. Thanks!

Great, I have two bags of those Green Giant Seasoned Steamers in my freezer, too.

Faye, have you thought about trying to find a recipe that you could dump those veggies in that would mask/hide the flavors that are already there? Sometimes I do that with strongly flavored tomato based soups. You can dump almost anything into a big batch of soup and not have the flavors come through. Obviously that wouldn't work with the dijon carrots, but maybe you could incorporate that into some dijon chicken, potato, veggie bake that has some other seasonings to tone down the dijon. Just my two cents. :)

Have any of you tried the new Green Giant Seasoned Steamers frozen veggies? We have tried the broccoli, honey corn and honey dijon carrots so far. Tonight we tried the carrots and they were not edible. The dijon taste is so overwhelming that it's like eating mustard instead of carrots. Even my husband who loves both honey and carrots could not stand more than a taste. The honey corn (which we tried about a week ago) was not much better. The broccoli was ok. I am just wondering what others thoughts are on this product. Is it just us or are these really poorly seasoned?

I contacted Green Giant tonight via their online customer comment line to voice my concern. Unfortunately, I still have 2 more bags in the freezer. I don't even want to give these to the food bank knowing how they taste.

quemaster, what a great idea to use a cooler for brining the turkey! No fuss, no mess, no hogging the whole fridge! :)
