Here's a shout out to everyone who is doing their civic duty today and voting!  I am a purist and I love the patriotic feeling of voting on Election Day, lines or not!  So, I will be heading out to vote after carpool this morning.

It's hard to concentrate on grocery store deals when there's an Electoral count to watch! lol Working on Lowes Foods match-ups now....sort of.

Lindalarry- yes Compare Foods is a Hispanic supermarket. I've been to the one in Smithfield and they have some very interesting produce. They usually do have someone who speaks English but a lot of of the meat/produce is labeled in Spanish so it would be helpful to know that. I did get some very good deals on spices.

pss3, I'm not sure myself if that's true as far as the drugstore b1g1. I bought a pack of batteries at Walgreens about a month ago, that were advertised as 5 for 5.00. I bought one and it rang up for 3.00. The cashier said you have to read the tags and sure enough, it showed the unit price was 3.00. I'm not sure how it works at other stores though, but now I know to be careful at Walgreens.

I knew that change for the Chic Fila calendars was coming!!! Awhile back, I tried to use my free Coke coupon to get lemonade and pay the difference, and they said I couldn't do that anymore. You had to get exactly what was on the coupon from now on.

Guess I better hurry up and use that free milkshake coupon I've been hoarding. :)

From what I gather, Compare Foods is a Hispanic supermarket. I've heard you can get fantastic prices on meats there, if you can stand the smell of the fresh meat being cut/packaged there. I also understand they have a fantastic selection of peppers, but no one speaks English usually--that's what I've been told. Never been myself.

We now have a Compare Foods supermarket in Clayton. Does anyone know anything about them, their coupon policy etc??

If you go to Pillsbury.com and sign up for their "not so secret club" (no cost) you can get a free 2013 calendar with recipes and you get you lots of coupons during the year.

I did a "quickie" shop at HT at lunch today, looking for a few last things with $1+ coupons. I was very pleased with what I found, AND that my ZVRs were credited! In fact, I had forgotten that I even had ZVRs on those two items, so it was a great $1.75 bonus. :-)

gocats8- ZVR's not coming off from your purchase has been an issue for several weeks now. I haven't e-mailed them yet, but some programming changes must have caused a major issue. I don't use a smartphone and still have the issue. Till they get the system fixed just make sure to check your receipt.

IamwhatIam...thanks a lot!
