    Thanks cogaha!

Just wanted to thank lickashot4bk for posting about the great deal they found on Ajax Laundry Detergent at Walmart. The 60 oz. (39 loads) size bottle was just $2.50, but with the $2.00/1 coupon currently available for this product, it ended up being just $0.50 a bottle. Love it!

    For beths..
Here is a punch recipe -- much loved by adults AND kids at every church function where it is served. I think it is rare to find a punch recipe that kids like, but this one does the trick!

    Mix together:
2 packs dry kool-aid (any color or flavor should work. I have used red and green to do Christmas pageant punch, and I have used pink lemonade and yellow lemonade flavors for spring events)
    2 cups of sugar
    1/2 large can pineapple juice
Add water to make 1 gallon

Immediately before serving, add 1 2L ginger ale

I make the "base" mixture ahead of time in gallon milk jugs and on the day of the event put the jugs in the freezer to get a little slushy. I also chill the ginger ale ahead of time.

This makes approx. 1 1/2 gallons, so 24 8 oz servings -- if you do smaller punch cups, you would have many more servings from a batch. My kids sometimes ask me to make a batch "just because" -- it is THAT great! Hope this helps.

Thanks, North Raleigh Dad. I actually did create a twitter account just now, and am waiting for one of my nieces to give me the scoop on how to post something to TWC. I do FB a lot, so I figure it can't be too hard.

My luck with TWC over the phone for many years has been terrible. I've tried customer retention and everything else I could think of short of standing on my head. I like how public a tweet would be. I think, as you say, the results will be much better.

    Wish me luck! :)

watchhillgirl - a gal who used to work at my local HT told me that in her apartment complex she saw lots of the mid-week coupons thrown away, as well. I've got a ton of apartment complexes by where I live, so am seriously considering checking out the mail area of some of them mid-week to see if I can score some that others don't want.

@jdouglas: If you have a smartphone just download the twitter app. If not, go to www.twitter.com and download from there. DianeNC makes a great point. You can call the local TWC office and ask for customer retention. They will try to find a way to save you some money to keep you as a customer. In my case, I had much better luck going the twitter route (Ive "tweeted twice in my life, both times to Time Warner lol) Since your tweet asks for help on the Time Warner's national twitter account, they love to satisfy a customer with everyone watching. Keep in mind, your "Tweet" to them asking for help can be seen by anyone, from that point forward everything is done via private messages so no one sees your real name or phone/account number. It sounds really confusing and intimidating but its really not that hard to do.

ctondee- I received my redplum in the Mid-Week this week and last, also a P&G last week. Sometimes I get them and sometimes I don't. It's probably that they stuff them until they run out and then some people don't get them.

I just moved from Goldsboro to Durham, and am renting an apartment. Last week, I scored a bunch of the redplum inserts and the P&G insert (people just throw them away!!!) but this week there was nothing. I think there is just nothing this week. Bummer. I look forward to sifting thru the garbage at the mail box!!! LOL

Wow, NRaleighDad, I'm definitely going to attempt starting a Twitter account. I've been struggling for years to get that TWC bill reduced to sometime that is not in the stratosphere. If that's what it takes, I'm game!

Anyone have kids who can tell me how to get started on Twitter? lol ;)
