About recycle bank points. There are different types of accounts. If you live in a certain area (like my mom in Minnesota), she recycles her trash and get points each month for the recycling of items. Anyone can earn points by buying certain items or taking surveys/quizzes.

I also have a recycle bank account but because Cary doesn't participate in the recycle point system I don't qualify for the HT $10 for spending $50 coupons. Thankfully, my mom is willing to order me the coupons each month using her points.

Tip - look at the coupons for traveling to different cities. There is a really good coupon for the Miami Zoo so my mom and I both used our points so the whole family could go to the zoo (almost B1G1 rate).

straitlover1965 - there is a coupon in the Walgreens ad for Sunday on page 15 at the bottom for Bayer Contour Next Blood Glucose Monitor. Limit 1. This is a Walgreens coupon so you may be able to match it with one of the manuf. coupons Diane posted about below.

    RaleighFoodBlogger -

THANKS for heads-up on Front Porch!! My favorites are the Key Lime crumble, and the Blackberry crumble...

I also saw a Land O Frost Mini's Q...got that as an EVIC email special, so excited about that one, too!

bjluckeey, no I haven't checked anywhere yet, as this just came up today. I am headed to Sam's Saturday for the free health screenings, so I will check them out. Thanks!

straitlover1965 - I, unfortunately, don't have the answer to your question about needing a prescription or not. There seems to be a lot of info on these products on Bayers website, so that might be a good place to start.

Walgreens has the Rubbermaid Lunch Blox on sale for $3.33. With the $1.50 coupon from the Rubbermaid site it makes them $1.83! They are regularly $13.89 at WAGS. I bought one last night before checking to see if there was a coupon (still a good deal).

straitlover1965 -- Has you checked walmart or Sam's Club? They carry Reli On brand meters and test strips. I test my glucose everyday. My meters strips used to be supplied by my doctor but they have no more from the company. They recommended this brand for it cost is not very much money. I have the purple box called Ultima the sell strips in different counts. I have purchased the 100 ct box since it is the best price for the money. You will need to buy both the meter and matching test strips. a lot cheaper than other brand that is $50 to $130 dollars for 50 test strips.

Diane, her doctor said he could only write a prescription if she was a diabetic. I was assuming that anoyone could buy the strips with cash; do you have to have a prescription even if insurance won't cover them?
