— Police at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill sent an alert to students early Sunday after a sexual assault was reported in Hinton-James Residence Hall.

Police said the reported assault at the dorm, which is on Hinton James Drive, happened shortly before 3 a.m.

Several students at the university told WRAL News that there had been a lot of visitors in the building for Halloween weekend.

Freshman student Emma Cook lives in the Hinton-James Residence Hall and came home about an hour after the sexual assault reportedly took place.

"I didn't feel unsafe or anything," said Cook. "There were RA's (residence advisors) down and a bunch of people down at that time."

The suspect, a male standing about 6 foot tall and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds, is believed to have left campus, police said.

No other information has been released. Anyone with information about the incident should call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515.

Of course you are; you're a male. That makes sense. But if the suspect deliberately left campus after the alleged assault, that isn't a good sign that this wasn't, as males say, "real rape." /s

The way these things have been concluded after all the facts have come out I am quite skeptical.
