Sexual assault reported in Fayetteville
Investigators are searching for a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman on Sunday.

A woman told police she received a ride from an unknown man who drove the woman to an address near the Johnston Street and sexually assaulted her.
The man is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, stocky build who was last seen wearing a red shirt and tan cargo pants. He was driving a dark gray compact van or crossover vehicle.
Anyone with information about the assault is asked to contact Fayetteville police at 910-366-5853 or CrimeStoppers, which awards cash for anonymous cash leading to arrest, at 910-483-8477.
