Sexting investigation involves Orange substitute teacher
Orange County Schools and the Orange County Sheriff's Office are investigating reports that a substitute teacher at Cedar Ridge High School sent nude photos to students.
Posted — UpdatedOrange County Sheriff Charles Blackwood confirmed the investigation on Wednesday but declined to provide any details.
"I am confident in the leadership at the school, and we are constant contact with [school district Superintendent] Dr. [Todd] Wirt and his staff as we move forward," Blackwood said in a statement.
District spokesman Seth Stephens said unidentified teacher "is not currently working" for the school system.
"The administration at Cedar Ridge has the support of the district, and, presently, we are confident about the safety of the students and staff at the school," Stephens said in a statement.
