Sex offender held on $500,000 bond

Posted August 4, 2010

— A registered sex offender from Hillsborough was jailed last Friday on charges of indecent liberties with a child stemming from an incident in a Raleigh Goodwill store, authorities said.

Orange County sheriff's deputies arrested George Buckner Carr, 63,  of 125 Court St., on a warrant from Wake County.

Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue said the crime occurred in March when Carr was spotted following a child through the store while exposing himself.

Carr's criminal record shows similar charges for incidents in 2003 and 2007. He was being held on $500,000 bond.

this man is an ex-neighbor. he needs to stop getting out of jail and re-offending, since this is his 3rd or 4th offense. he needs to stay locked up. hopefully he will not make bond.

The address listed in the story is the address of the jail. He does not seem to have another address in Hillsborough when you search the NC Sex Offender Registry. Unfortunately, the map in Orange County and everywhere else is teeming with offenders.

People like this need to be locked up in a prison for 60 years. I will keep saying that. Most get a slap on the wrist to continue the wrong they were doing.

bullet to the head will remove those 'thoughts'... of course, after castration with a butter knife. If it were one of my kids, I'd left the police out of it and he'd already been set on fire... 'We the People' need to take matters into our own hands sometimes... the government is not doing such a great job as you may have noticed. People get more jail time for pot than sex with kids... WhattheF!

He needs to be incarcerated, needs counseling, maybe some medications. The possibility of neutering him is an option but that does not eliminate the thoughts he has of children. And how will he act upon those thoughts. Not sure what the best solution to the problem is other than populating people like these on a deserted island.

Did Golo change my words below? I know I did not say 'it is against the law for ME to be near the church'. I had said, at least it is against the law for THAT GUY to be near a church.

Put this REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER in General Population, obviously he learned nothing from his first stay in jail, in general population he may just learn a thing or two....like you don't mess with kids.
