Sex offender caught in Hoke County

​A registered sex offender wanted in a sexual assault of a 14-year-old in January was taken into custody Friday, according to the Hoke County Sheriff's Office.

A registered sex offender wanted in a sexual assault of a 14-year-old in January was taken into custody Friday, according to the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office.

Michael Anthony Graham, 46, has been charged with statutory rape, indecent liberties with a child, first-degree burglary, failing to register an address change of a sex offender, failing to register a new address of a sex offender, failing to register or report in person, resisting delaying and obstructing law enforcement, and giving fictitious information to law enforcement.

Authorities said Graham was arrested, with the help of U.S. marshals, inside a shed in Robeson County.

Graham is being held at the Hoke County Detention Center under a $1 million secured bond.
