Several People Injured in 3-Vehicle Wreck in Johnston County
Several people were injured Saturday morning in a three-vehicle pileup in Johnston County.
Posted — UpdatedIt happened at about 10:30 a.m. on Highway 210 at the intersection of Old Fairground Road in Angier.
A man was driving his Toyota SUV and failed to yield at a flashing light, the state Highway Patrol said. A woman and her 3-year-old daughter were traveling in a vehicle eastbound on Highway 210 and struck the SUV.
The drivers were Hispanic and did not have valid driver’s licenses, the Highway Patrol said.
Another vehicle driven by a pregnant woman also wrecked.
The woman and her daughter were transported to Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn with non-life-threatening injuries.
The pregnant woman was taken to WakeMed. Her condition was not immediately available.
The SUV driver was charged with failing to yield.
Troopers withheld the names of those involved in the crash.
