Seven arrested in Nash County drug bust

Authorities arrested seven people this week as part of a seven-month-long undercover operation targeting drug dealers in Nash County.

NASHVILLE, N.C. — Authorities arrested seven people this week as part of a seven-month-long undercover operation targeting drug dealers in Nash County.

"Operation: Punisher" was started after a drastic increase in the distribution and abuse of prescription pills, as well as ecstasy, cocaine and marijuana, said Lt. Pat Joyner with the Nash County Sheriff's Office.

The following suspects were being held in the Nash County Jail on various charges:

  • Larry Dale Toney, 52, of 2446 E. Old Spring Hope Road in Nashville: possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle or a dwelling place for a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance, sell and deliver a controlled substance; $50,000 secured bond
  • Cameron Dale Toney, 19, of 2446 E. Old Spring Hope Road in Nashville: two counts of possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine, two counts of sell and deliver cocaine; $40,000 bond
  • Johnny Vance Benton Jr., 21, of 917 Beechwood Drive in Rocky Mount: possession with the intent to sell and deliver LSD, sell and deliver LSD; $35,000 secured bond
  • Terry Lynn Mccoy, 49, of 2621 S. Church St. in Rocky Mount: possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine, sell and deliver cocaine; $10,000 secured bond
  • Stephanie Lynn Ferrell, 32, 2711 Pleasant Hill Road in Rocky Mount: four counts of trafficking in opium/heroin; $300,000 secured bond
  • Dusten Wade Donaldson, 24 of 3556 Mobile Plaza in Sharpsburg: two counts each of possession with the intent to sell and deliver, sell and deliver and maintain a vehicle or dwelling place; $25,000 secured bond
  • Erin Nicole Lynn, 23: possession with the intent to sell and deliver a counterfeit controlled substance, sell and deliver a counterfeit controlled substance, conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine; $20,000 secured bond

Lynn was already in prison after being sentenced to nearly 3 years in May for trafficking in cocaine, Joyner said.

Larry Toney also has convictions for drug dealing dating from 1986, according to state Department of Corrections records.
