Seth trimble who was a very high profile enter into the transfer portal from the University of North Carolina Tar Heels announced on his own Instagram that he is coming out of the portal and going back to UN C. Hey, look at that, that's big for UN C. He is potentially their best athlete. I would say this past year was their best perimeter defender and somebody with experience coming into the uh the season and when they're gonna lose a bunch of experience, Harrison Ingram announced he's going pro uh Armando Bacot, obviously leaving. So, uh they need all the experience they can get and it worked out pretty well. Still waiting on RJ Davis, still waiting on RJ Davis is as far as we know is gonna be coming back for his sophomore year. We know Jalen Washington's come back. We I correctly for his junior year. I totally forgot that Jalen Withers redshirted his first year at, at uh at Louisville. So at the redshirt year and COVID year, he's actually uh is eligible to come back. II I missed that. I forgot that. So I know we've been saying that Jalen Withers is not coming back. He is eligible to come back. Uh So Withers Washington, if Trumbull coming back ca do, we'll see what RJ Davis does. Ian Jackson Drake Powell. So it's like the freshman, it's called it the freshman portal. It's called just, that's just called recruiting. I might as well be a freshman portal, but nonetheless, it's actually a pretty decent amount of guys coming back, especially like you said, if RJ Davis adds into the mix and Harrison Ingram is keeping his option open to come back to college, he's not gonna sign with an agent. So you never know you might get tremble coming back. Davis coming back and there's a potential that Ingrid comes back too and I do believe you can sign with an agent just has to be an NCAA approved agent. The world, the world is cheering. Uh Obviously, if we want to go full conspiracy theory and, and you start asking questions. Uh was the market not there for trimble as big as he thought it would be in the portal possibly uh did Un C pony up some cash that they didn't have when he first went into the portal, maybe some cash that they had earmarked. And when I say UN C I mean, the collectives and, and everything, uh maybe some cash that they had earmarked for Harrison Ingram. And once he decided to announce he's going pro, they said, well, this money's burning a hole in our pocket here, you go. Uh doesn't mean RJ Davis changed his mind, right? Did Seth Trimble call up his buddy RJ and say, hey, are you coming back? And RJ said, yeah, probably if you want to be a starting two guard, you should probably go somewhere else and then he hit the portal and then maybe RJ Davis called them back up and said, hey, remember how I told you I was coming back, maybe not again, these are all rumors and, and not even rumors, they are inferences connecting loosely spaced dots uh or ready for this. This might be the best possible uh conspiracy theory on how this happens. Maybe it was just a 19 year old changing his mind. It could be that there's quite a few uh instances in history of 19 year olds not being the most decisive people in the world. So uh that's also a possibility uh but that will not stop us from, from asking questions, just asking questions. Seth Trimble back to UN C. That's big for the tar heels, big for Hubert Davis.

I'm meteorologist, Amy Wilmuth in the WRL severe weather center. We have quiet weather today about a 20% chance for rain. But if you look back to the west over Texas, there's another system that's headed our way and things are going to turn more unsettled starting tomorrow. Scattered storms will be possible tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow evening and we'll just keep those rain chances fairly high the weekend. So plan for scattered showers and storms through Sunday. It's not going to rain the entire weekend, but we do have decent rain chances for the entire weekend for today. It's only a 20% chance for rain, mainly in our northern counties. Later on this evening, we could see a stray shower or two, but it shouldn't be a big deal. And most of you are going to stay dry through the day today. If you are headed to the Cannes game to do some tailgating, it's going to be pretty nice. Only a 20% chance for rain. Temperatures will mainly be in the seventies, upper seventies by six o'clock down into the low seventies by eight o'clock. Looking ahead to Friday in the morning, it looks dry but then as we head into the afternoon, it becomes unsettled, we'll have scattered showers and thunderstorms as we head through the day on Friday and then overnight Friday into Saturday morning, we'll have a wave of showers and storm storms move through. So Saturday morning, we'll have some scattered showers around. And then as we get into the afternoon and evening, we'll have the potential for scattered showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. And it does look like we have the potential for some isolated severe storms. We have a level one risk for the entire area on Saturday. So keep that in mind as you're making your weekend plans, our explosions happening this weekend, we have the BM Bay festival happening this weekend. Um Just plan for some rain. It will rain for the entirety of those events, but we'll have scattered showers and storms throughout the events. Temperatures. Saturday will climb into the upper seventies, but then it will be cooler Sunday with high temperatures only in the upper sixties as we wrap up the weekend. So pretty unsettled through the weekend, we'll be dodging the showers and storms on and off. Looking ahead to next week. It's a quieter weather pattern. It looks pretty dry Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday highs will be in the mid seventies Monday and then we're back into the eighties, Tuesday and Wednesday.
