Selma man crushed under bulldozer

— A Selma man was killed Monday while working on a bulldozer near his home, authorities said Thursday.

Gary Holland, 48, was working under the bulldozer in a private shop on N.C. Highway 42 East when the blade fell on him, pinning him underneath, authorities said.

Holland was taken to Johnston Memorial Hospital, where he died.

Authorities ruled his death an accident.

    what a terrible way to die, for his sake, i hope it was atleast fast so he wasen't suffering to much. prayers go out for the family.

    this happened at a shop down the street...i dont understand johnston mem. hospital with injuries that bad...wake med was prob just as close....btw..he was dukes oldest living transplant recepient

    Why would someone crawl under a bulldozer blade and not put something under it so it WON'T FALL ON YOU!? What a stupid way to die! I hope it was quick.
