The Carolina Ballet will be presenting a free performance of "The Nutcracker" on Friday at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.

The ballet, which is teaming up with PNC Bank for the performance, will have 1,000 free tickets to be handed out on Friday (Dec. 27) starting at 10 a.m. at the Raleigh Memorial Box Office. The tickets will be available until they run out or until the show begins at 2 p.m. There is no limit on the number of tickets you can get for your group, so arrive early.

WRAL sponsors the magic featured in the Carolina Ballet's rendition of this holiday classic, which tells the story of Clara and her adventures battling the Mouse King with the Nutcracker Prince and embarking on a journey through the Land of Sweets with the Sugar Plum Fairy. The show also features a live symphony. The show includes more than 100 local children and the entire Carolina Ballet company.
