— Students, faculty and staff at Peace College are trying to make their campus safer after a rash of vehicle break-ins and an armed robbery.

Groups met Wednesday evening with campus security to do a walk-through of the grounds in an effort to improve safety protocols.

Feedback from the walk through will be included in a proposal to be reviewed by the Peace Student Government Association. The proposal will also be presented to school administrators.

Several security measures are already in place at the school, including a 24-hour police presence, security cameras and sign-in logs and card readers at buildings.

How long can you keep a crowd out there?

uuuhhhh....The bad guys don't usually attack when crowds are present, do they?

The real solution is to allow those with valid permits to carry their concealed weapons on all campuses and use them when needed! Once the bad guys know that school campuses are not "no gun zones" except for the criminals, they will go to the places that are safer for the bad guys!

I don't know why people think they can just stop crime from happening all together. You can't control peoples free will to do what they want and that includes breaking into your car. Next time don't leave your purses, IPODS, GPS's and cell phones in your cars.
