ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools officials beefed up security at Nash Central High School Monday after a social media threat was posted over the weekend.

The threat was not credible, officials said, but as a precaution, there is an increased law enforcement presence at the high school.

"No incidents have occurred, and all students are safe," Interim Superintendent Travis Twiford said in a statement.
