Secret menu? At McDonald's, it's mix and match

Posted July 21, 2015

The Internet is buzzing with stories of a "secret menu" available at McDonald's if only you know what to order. In a Reddit thread, a person claiming to be a shift manager in Scotland described the Land, Sea and Air Burger or the McGangBang.

But read a little closer and you'll find that McDonald's simply does what most other restaurants do, allows menu substitutions to standard products, often with price involved.

“We do not have a secret menu at McDonald’s UK," a McDonald's spokesperson told Mashable. The person went on to acknowledge that customers can ask for changes.

“Any requests for extra items or changes to our products are considered at the restaurant manager’s discretion and any additional items may be charged for.”

There is nothing at McDonalds that you could combine with anything else at McDonalds to make me go there again. I'd rather have a gas station hot dog (chili & cheese please) or something (anything) off a taco truck.
