FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police on Tuesday were searching for a second man in connection with a shooting last week in which a teen and a child were grazed by bullets.

Warrants have been issued charging Jermon Leon Owens, 34, of 6890 Pin Oak Lane, with four counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and one count each of shooting into occupied property, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

A man shot into a Chevrolet Trailblazer in the 6700 block of Pacific Avenue on Nov. 14, and a 15-year-old and a 4-year-old inside the vehicle were grazed by at least one bullet, police said. The teen and the child were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

John Davie Knight, 23, was arrested Friday on the same charges as those lodged against Owens.

Police said Owens and an adult in the SUV knew each other and that Owens is the father of the wounded 4-year-old.

Anyone with information about Owens' whereabouts is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
