FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — For the second time in a week, a manager at Cumberland County's main entertainment venue has resigned amid an ongoing investigation.

Windy Lawson, the marketing and sales director for Crown Coliseum, submitted her resignation, effective Nov. 21.

Last Thursday, Paul Beard Jr., the coliseum's chief executive, submitted his resignation. He will remain on paid leave through the end of the year, and will continue to draw his $101,400 salary until his resignation takes effect.

The Cumberland County Civic Center Commission last month suspended Beard, Lawson and Herman Bullard, director of the Cumberland County Fair.

Officials have declined to disclose the reason for the suspensions, saying only that they had received at least five signed affidavits complaining of their behavior.
