MISSOULA — Police are continuing to search for suspects responsible for a home invasion that led to the stabbing of a Missoula woman.
Missoula Police spokesman Sergeant Travis Welsh says the woman was stabbed repeatedly just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning at her home in the 1300 block of Montana Street.
Welsh says she sustained wounds to her trachea, neck, chest, face and thigh. The woman was transported to St. Patrick Hospital with serious injuries but is expected to recover.
Police are now searching for two suspects -- a man and a woman -- who are considered to be behind the attack. Welsh says there are indications that the incident was not entirely random, but nothing has been ruled out at this point.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Missoula Police Department at (406) 552-6300.
