Scotty McCreery to publish debut book
Country star and Garner native will be releasing "Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream" next year.

The "American Idol" winner's book, "Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream," is set to debut on May 3, 2016.
Pre-orders will begin on Nov. 15.
The book will "narrate McCreery's journey from a child imitating Elvis on the school bus to 30 million viewers across America tuning in to see him win Season 10 of "American Idol” to building a successful country music career," according to a press release.
McCreery, who turns 22 on Friday, is finishing up his fourth album due out next year.
“God gave me a voice and America gave me a chance,” McCreery said. “This book is about those two things, and about the amazing journey that began the moment I decided to say two words about this show I knew and loved. ‘Why not?’”
