The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences is seeking applications for its Girls in Science Connect: Nature program. The intensive eight-week program is designed for sixth and seventh grade girls who have shown ability and strong interest in sciences, especially natural sciences.

The program offers hands-on science experiences in the natural world and at the downtown Raleigh museum.

The program runs on Tuesdays from Jan. 10 to March 7. It meets weekly on Tuesday afternoons. The program fee is $150.

Applications are due by 5 p.m., Nov. 28, for spring 2017. A student application, a parent form and a teacher recommendation are required.

The museum's website has the details.

The program is part of the museum's teen programs (which also includes a Boys in Science piece).
