As part of its special exhibit American Adventure, the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences will host a Pioneer Night later this month.
It's 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., July 21, at the downtown Raleigh museum. During the evening, families can learn survival skills through hands-on activities including rope making, fire making, poisonous plant identification and more. Games include one focused on the Oregon Trail.
Tickets are $10 per person and $5 for museum members. Admission includes a ticket to American Adventure, which can be used at a later date.
The museum's website has more information.
