School bus slams into parked cars at Panther Creek High

Posted February 8, 2011

— A school bus hit several parked cars outside Panther Creek High School on Tuesday morning after the driver experienced a medical problem, authorities said.

The bus dropped students off at Panther Creek High shortly after 7 a.m., and the driver then had an unidentified medical problem and accelerated into some cars in the parking lot.

No one was in any of the cars, and no one was injured in the incident, authorities said.

The bus driver, whose name hasn't been released, was taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment.

Was it a male driver or female driver?

  • CrewMax Feb 9, 2011

I would be interested to see the medical report. The bus driver that ran a four way stop and hit me in the side wasn't smart enough to feign a medical emergency after she smashed into my vehicle. Her only response was to blame me three different ways for hitting the front of her bus with the side of my truck.

Hopefully the bus driver will be okay, but probably will not be able to drive any more - may have lost her job due to her health.

That's scary... glad there were no kids on the bus at the time, and no pedestrians in the way.

Glad that she is ok. Also, very glad that no one was hurt. Any updates on what happened to the driver? My son had just parked his truck and was headed into school when this happened.

SHE is doing much better now, I just talked to her husband. Way to assume folks.

Both of you have assumed that the driver is male... interesting.
