School bus involved in wreck in Willow Spring; no injuries reported

— A school bus carrying 11 students to Fuquay-Varina Elementary School was involved in a wreck early Thursday near the intersection of Kennebec and Walter Myatt roads in Willow Spring, Wake County Schools officials said.

The wreck happened at about 9 a.m. near the Twin Oaks Feed Supply Store. 

No injuries were reported in the wreck, and the students were taken to the school by another bus. 

No other information about the wreck was reported.

    i guess i'm getting old. when i was in school students drove the buses. i know they had accidents, but they never got this kind of attention. i would hate to drive a bus now, you could have a flat tire and it would make the news.

    Lovemypirates.... I can assure you as a former bus driver for over 22 years.... everyone always claims they never even say us. lol, its funny because like you said,,, we are big and yellow and yet,.... once the accident happens... " I didn't even see it..."... its a lame excuse.

    I don't understand all these wrecks involving school buses. They're huge, yellow and have blinking lights. When I see one, even on the other side of a divided highway I become a bit more alert.
