— The State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the fatal shooting of a man by an Edgecombe County deputy.

Deputy Darrick Winders was responding to a domestic dispute in Macclesfield about 4 p.m. Monday when a man identified as Kenneth Shawn Todd, 41, charged at him with a weapon, authorities office said.

"After failure to obey the officer's commands, the subject was shot and fatally wounded," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

The SBI investigation is standard in officer-involved shootings.

"Where are the comments about shooting the person in the big toe or warning shots into the ceiling or using some imaginary non lethal weapon the officer doesn't even carry?" - didisaythat

"Where are the anti-police and pro-criminal crowd?" - didisaythat

While there are some that are anti-police (not to be confused with those that don't subscribe to the police are always right philosophy), I haven't seen any pro-criminal posters.
