Tarboro, N.C. — The State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the fatal shooting of a man by an Edgecombe County deputy.
Deputy Darrick Winders was responding to a domestic dispute in Macclesfield about 4 p.m. Monday when a man identified as Kenneth Shawn Todd, 41, charged at him with a weapon, authorities office said.
"After failure to obey the officer's commands, the subject was shot and fatally wounded," the sheriff's office said in a statement.
