SavingStar.com is kicking off the New Year with TWO Friday Freebie offers this week! You can score free Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix (8.5 oz.) AND a packet of Land O Lakes Cocoa Classics (1.25 oz.)! you have until January 4 to buy the products at a participating store. Check back every Friday for a new freebie.

There are also 19 new offers this week including Cheerios, Yoplait, Progresso, Old El Paso, Nature Valley, Fiber One, Wheaties, Larabar, Totinos, Liberte & more!

And remember, you have until 1/5 to get 20% cash back on your purchase of bananas at participating stores with SavingStar.com.
You can load any and all of the offers to your account at SavingStar.com.
New to SavingStar? Here is how it works:
With the cash back site SavingStar.com, you don't print out a coupon to redeem at the register. You enter your store reward card numbers on the SavingStar website (for those stores that have them), then load digital coupons to your reward cards, buy the participating products at any of the participating stores and then the coupon savings are added to your SavingStar account a couple weeks after your purchase.

There are a number of participating stores in our area including Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion, CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Kroger, Family Dollar and Rite Aid.  With some of the stores (Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Kroger and Family Dollar), you will need to take a photo of the receipt through their app or website and submit it to get your cash back.

Once you have accrued $5 worth of savings in your SavingStar account, you can cash the savings. You can choose to have the money deposited into your Paypal account or checking account or donate it to a non-profit organization. Sometime in November, there will be additional payout options available that do not include a bank account (probably other gift cards).

My favorite aspect of this site is that you can use a hard copy coupon at the register for a product that also offers a SavingStar e-coupon (at least for now)!

According to the SavingStar.com website, new coupons will become available at the first of every month. Savings will usually show up in your account between 2 days and 2 weeks depending on how long it takes the stores to give SavingStar the information. These coupons will not double.  See more details and sign up at SavingStar.com.
