Savingstar Freebie: Morton Salt!

Posted December 12, 2014

The Friday Freebie offer for this week is a 26 oz. container of Morton Plain or Iodized Table Salt!  You have until December 14, 2014 to get this offer.  Check back every Friday for a new freebie.

There are also new offers for Pam cooking spray, Pillsbury crescent rolls and Pirate's Booty snacks!

And remember, you have until 12/15 to get 20% cash back on your purchase of green peppers at participating stores with

You can load the offers to your account. One time use only.

New to SavingStar? Here is how it works:

With the cash back site, you don't print out a coupon to redeem at the register. You enter your store reward card numbers on the SavingStar website (for those stores that have them), then load digital coupons to your reward cards, buy the participating products at any of the participating stores and then the coupon savings are added to your SavingStar account a couple weeks after your purchase.

There are a number of participating stores in our area including Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion, CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Kroger, Family Dollar and Rite Aid.  With some of the stores (Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Kroger and Family Dollar), you will need to take a photo of the receipt through their app or website and submit it to get your cash back.

Once you have accrued $5 worth of savings in your SavingStar account, you can cash the savings. You can choose to have the money deposited into your Paypal account or checking account or donate it to a non-profit organization. Sometime in November, there will be additional payout options available that do not include a bank account (probably other gift cards).

My favorite aspect of this site is that you can use a hard copy coupon at the register for a product that also offers a SavingStar e-coupon (at least for now)!

According to the website, new coupons will become available at the first of every month. Savings will usually show up in your account between 2 days and 2 weeks depending on how long it takes the stores to give SavingStar the information. These coupons will not double.  See more details and sign up at

Dr D - I am not typically known for being concise, so thanks for that! :-)

    Teecee - glad it helped.

    Faye & Dr D !
Thanks for answering my questions - you both helped very much .

Whoops; I took so long in typing my reply that Faye concisely answered in the interim. Thanks Faye!

TEECEE, I'm assuming that by "multi-purchase deal" you're referring to the offers that say "Purchases may be made over multiple shopping trips". You may submit the receipts anytime, as long as you meet the full purchase requirement and submit the last receipt before the offer expiration date. You may buy the items for the offer at any of the SavingStar-approved stores - where ever you find the best deals! So if Kleenex is on sale one week and one store, and another week at another store, as long as the stores are on SavingStar's list, they qualify towards meeting the offer requirements. :-)

TeeCee - I have bought items for the multi-item purchase deals at different stores at different times and they still credited. On all the multi-item purchase deals on Savingstar right now, it indicates "Purchases may be made over multiple shopping trips." Hope that helps! :-)

    Questions :
Thank you in advance for helping me !!
If I am want one of the multi-purchase deals and I use a store that I submit the receipts from , can I submit as I buy or do I wait until I have all the required purchases then submit all at once ??
Also can I buy at different stores ( such as Kleenex at different stores or one item at one store and two at another store ) ??
    Thank You Very Much !
