Savingstar Freebie: Lipton tea bags!

Posted November 28, 2014

The Friday Freebie offer for this week is a 16 count box of Lipton Tea tea bags!  You have until 11/30/14 to get this offer.  Check back every Friday for a new freebie.

And remember, you have until 12/1 to get 20% cash back on your purchase of loose russet potatoes at participating stores with

You can load the offers to your account. One time use only.

New to SavingStar? Here is how it works:

With the cash back site, you don't print out a coupon to redeem at the register. You enter your store reward card numbers on the SavingStar website (for those stores that have them), then load digital coupons to your reward cards, buy the participating products at any of the participating stores and then the coupon savings are added to your SavingStar account a couple weeks after your purchase.

There are a number of participating stores in our area including Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion, CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Kroger, Family Dollar and Rite Aid.  With some of the stores (Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Kroger and Family Dollar), you will need to take a photo of the receipt through their app or website and submit it to get your cash back.

Once you have accrued $5 worth of savings in your SavingStar account, you can cash the savings. You can choose to have the money deposited into your Paypal account or checking account or donate it to a non-profit organization. Sometime in November, there will be additional payout options available that do not include a bank account (probably other gift cards).

My favorite aspect of this site is that you can use a hard copy coupon at the register for a product that also offers a SavingStar e-coupon (at least for now)!

According to the website, new coupons will become available at the first of every month. Savings will usually show up in your account between 2 days and 2 weeks depending on how long it takes the stores to give SavingStar the information. These coupons will not double.  See more details and sign up at

It's not a biggie but I looked at what is called expresslane at HT for Lowes Foods and CVS and neither had it listed. LF had the 24 count.

Sorry I did not get by Kroger today to see if they had the 16 count tea bags

I will let you know about Kroger later today

nstutt - I think many HT's stopped carrying the 16 count size recently. I did find it at Lowes Foods.

Interesting comment there. Anyway, good luck finding this item in the stores. I searched high and low for it to try to use the $3 off 2 Lipton products coupon I had and came up empty.
