Savingstar Freebie: FREE TINA'S Burrito!

Posted January 23, 2015

The Friday Freebie offer for this week is a FREE TINA'S Burrito, 4 - 5 oz.! You have until January 25, 2015 to get this offer.  Check back every Friday for a new freebie.

In our area, TINA's burritos are sold at Lowes Foods stores and are on sale for .50 each this week.

And remember, you have until 1/26 to get 20% cash back on your purchase of onions at participating stores with

You can load the offers to your account. One time use only.

New to SavingStar? Here is how it works:

With the cash back site, you don't print out a coupon to redeem at the register. You enter your store reward card numbers on the SavingStar website (for those stores that have them), then load digital coupons to your reward cards, buy the participating products at any of the participating stores and then the coupon savings are added to your SavingStar account a couple weeks after your purchase.

There are a number of participating stores in our area including Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion, CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Kroger, Family Dollar and Rite Aid.  With some of the stores (Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Kroger and Family Dollar), you will need to take a photo of the receipt through their app or website and submit it to get your cash back.

Once you have accrued $5 worth of savings in your SavingStar account, you can cash the savings. You can choose to have the money deposited into your Paypal account or checking account or donate it to a non-profit organization. Sometime in November, there will be additional payout options available that do not include a bank account (probably other gift cards).

My favorite aspect of this site is that you can use a hard copy coupon at the register for a product that also offers a SavingStar e-coupon (at least for now)!

According to the website, new coupons will become available at the first of every month. Savings will usually show up in your account between 2 days and 2 weeks depending on how long it takes the stores to give SavingStar the information. These coupons will not double.  See more details and sign up at

remer54- bummer. It is on the Express Lane for the Lowes Foods at 42 and 50. You may want to try the LF in Clayton. HT is not one of the stores that carries their products according to the list on the Tina's website.

I checked with the HT person that stocks the frozen foods and he told me thay dont carry it at the Clayton HT.

Labs - you are so right - Didn't even think about that when I searched the Tina's website to see who carries them. Thanks for the reminder. :-)

The Piggly Wiggly stores in NC are not listed on the participating grocers list. Do the NC Piggly Wiggly Saving Star purchases pay?

Have any of you tried these burritos before? I have not. I plan to pick one up at Lowes Foods to try them out.
