Santa Claus for North Hills

Wait ... did I miss Thanksgiving?

Nevermind ... Santa Claus will start his annual arrival at area malls starting this Saturday. Here's where you can find him. He's a busy guy!

  • St. Nick will start sitting for photos at Raleigh's Triangle Town Center's lower level center court starting on Saturday. He'll be there through Christmas Eve. Click here for details about photo packages and more.
  • Santa arrives at Crabtree Valley Mall on Saturday. He'll be there through Christmas Eve. Click here for details and schedule.
  • The big guy will begin his visit at Cary Town Center on Saturday. There's a special welcome party at 11 a.m., Saturday, in center court. Kids will get a free chocolate chunk cookie from Chick-fil-A. Stay for visits with Santa and the Chick-fil-A Santa Cow. Santa will be there through Christmas Eve. Click here for details and schedules.
  • In Fayetteville, Santa will also begin sitting for pictures on Saturday through Dec. 24 in the food court at Cross Creek Mall. A breakfast with Santa is scheduled for 9 a.m., Nov. 23. It includes visits with the Chick-fil-A cow, crafts and other activities. Click here for details and schedules.
  • Santa will arrive at The Streets at Southpoint in Durham on Nov. 22. He'll be there through Christmas Eve. Be sure to check the website for details about how to order your pictures in advance and save. New this year: The mall will offer a pajama party with Santa on Nov. 26, Dec. 3, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17. Kids can get their picture taken with Santa in their pajamas. Click here for details and schedule.
  • Santa begins sitting for pictures at Northgate Mall in Durham on Nov. 22. He'll be there through Christmas Eve. But, even before the big arrival, the mall has a kiddie Polar Express train. Click here for all the details about Christmas celebrations at Northgate.
  • Santa stops at Brier Creek Commons on Nov. 15. The north Raleigh shopping center offers free sleigh rides on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Nov. 15 to Dec. 22. Click here for schedules and details.
  • Finally, Santa will light the giant Christmas tree at North Hills in Raleigh on Nov. 23. Lots of other activities are planned for this very popular event. If this year is like past years, North Hills will have a spot where you can take your kids' picture with St. Nick on the weekends leading up to Christmas. I'll update once I know the details. Click here for more information about the tree lighting.

IT'S TOO DANG EARLY!!!!! This turns the season into 'ALL ABOUT THE MONEY' and nothing else. This is absurd! Christmas stuff, Santa etc should NOT happen until Thanksgiving is over.

Goodness, this is way too early for Santa! Why can't we do one holiday at a time. Use to be Black Friday was the kickoff for the Christmas Holiday. Way too commercial. We need to stop and realize the real meaning of Christmas...
