Sanford woman charged with killing husband

— A Sanford woman was arrested Wednesday evening and charged with fatally stabbing her husband, police said.

Police were called to 712 Lawrence St. shortly after 6 p.m. in reference to a disturbance and found Samuel Murchison, 45, in the backyard suffering from an apparent stab wound to his chest. He died at the scene.

Izora Fields Murchison, 41, was charged with first-degree murder. Investigators said she stabbed her husband during an argument.

She was being held Thursday in the Lee County jail without bond.

    If you stab someone during an argument how is that first degree murder which requires premeditation? Unless you started the argument with the thought you would kill them. This will be plead down to manslaughter and she will do 3 years max.
