SANFORD, N.C. — Police have made an arrest in a weekend fatal shooting at 211 N. 2nd St. in Sanford.

Capt. David Smith said Anton Lett, 28, was found Saturday morning on his living room floor with two fatal gunshot wounds to the back of the head and arm.

After interviewing witnesses, Smith said Ronald Ray Johnson, 40, was arrested Saturday evening at 923 N.C. Highway 87 South in Harnett County.

Johnson lives in an apartment on Gordon Street in Sanford. He apparently knew Lett and the shooting stemmed from a domestic altercation.

Johnson was being held Sunday in the Lee County jail without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Johnson was convicted of communicating threats and simple assault in June 2007, according to state Department of Correction records. He was sentenced to 24 months probation.
