Sanford Lowe's featured on tornado relief special

Posted May 12, 2011

— CMT will air a 90-minute concert Thursday night to raise money for Red Cross relief efforts in southern states recently hit by tornadoes and floods.

The concert will feature musical performances by county stars Hank Williams Jr., Keith urban, Tim McGraw and others along with stories from communities which are cleaning up from devastating spring storms. The Sanford Lowe's home improvement store, where customers and employees huddled together as a tornado ripped off the roof April 16, will be among the places profiled.

The special airs Thursday night at 9 p.m.

Yes this was a tragic event for Sanford, but why all the negativity towards Lowes? This whole situation reminds me of the book of Job, and where to place my treasures at.

You would think the only damaged in Sanford was the Lowes store. geez.

Amen Packy...it's much harder for those that lost their loved ones and their homes, Lowes can and will be replaced!

that's awesome but Lowe's wasn't the only thing devestated by the tornado. People lost their homes, their lives and their farms. It's just horrible.
