Sandler, Spade bring comedy tour to Durham

"Sandy Wexler's Here Comes the Funny Tour" featuring Sandler, David Spade, Rob Schneider and Nick Swardson will stop at DPAC on April 13.

DURHAM, N.C. — Actor and comedian Adam Sandler and a few of other "Saturday Night Live" alums are bringing a comedy tour to Durham in April.
"Sandy Wexler's Here Comes the Funny Tour" featuring Sandler, David Spade, Rob Schneider and Nick Swardson will stop at DPAC on April 13.

Sandler, Spade and Schneider have teamed up on film projects since their "SNL" days, including the 2010 film "Grown Ups." Swardson appeared in "Grown Ups 2" and has been a regular in several films from Sandler's Happy Madison production company. He has appeared alongside Sandler in "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" and "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" and starred in "Bucky Larson: Born to be a Star."

Tickets for the tour go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. through the Ticketmaster, the DPAC's website and box office.

Netflix is presenting the tour as part of its promotion of the original movie "Sandy Wexler" written by and starring Sandler

The film premieres April 14 and centers on Sandy Wexler, a talent manager working in 1990s Los Angeles. Actress and singer Jennifer Hudson stars as Sandy's love interest, Courtney Clarke. Other stars include Swardson, Schneider, Terry Crews, Kevin James, Colin Quinn, Lamorne Morris and Arsenio Hall.
