Sale of Morrisville outlet mall revives Chinatown plans

Morrisville, N.C. — An investor group has purchased the moribund Morrisville Prime Outlets shopping center, paving the way for the creation of an Asian-themed destination mall on the site.
Sources told WRAL News Monday that F&K Partners, a holding company that includes investors from Hong Kong, China and the U.S., purchased the property off Airport Boulevard for $12 million.
Another developer talked early last year about transforming Prime Outlets into Chinatown North Carolina, but he was unable to purchase the center.
The new owners are now negotiating with potential tenants, including Asian restaurants and businesses, sources said.
