Runs, Dierks Bentley lead weekend best bets

RALEIGH, N.C. — Get active this Mother's Day weekend with a few 5Ks happening. 

On Saturday, the family-friendly "Socks and Undies 5K" Rundie features a half-mile family fun run as well. Proceeds will benefit Note In The Pocket, which provides clothing to impoverished and homeless children and their families in Wake County. It is $30 to register for the 5K and $10 for the half-mile family fun run. 

The "Mother of All Races 10K and 5K" will take place Sunday mainly on the paved Neuse Greenway at Wakefield Crossings. It is $30 for the 5K and $35 to enter the 10K. 

The Kerr Family YMCA in Raleigh is the site of the Run Like a Mother 5K. This event happens Sunday morning and will also include a children's race. The post-race festival will include food and refreshments and fun for the entire family. 

Country star Dierks Bentley plays Walnut Creek Saturday night. 

PineCone has partnered with the Town of Cary to present free concerts in the Sertoma Amphitheatre in Bond Park. This Saturday night, check out North Carolina's own Mipso. 

Jaheim will bring his blend of soul, hip-hop and more to the DPAC on Sunday. Tickets start at $45. 

Clean comedian Brian Regan brings his stand-up act to the DPAC Saturday night. Tickets are on sale now. 

Sandy Duncan stars in the NC Theatre’s production of “Driving Miss Daisy,” which plays the Duke Energy Center’s Fletcher Auditorium this weekend. Tickets are on sale now. 

Alternative pop/rock band  Third Eye Blind, led by frontman Stephan Jenkins, hit the scene in the late 1990s with a catchy and melodic post-grunge sound and produced songs like "Semi-Charmed Life," "Jumper," and "How's It Going to Be." Catch them Saturday at the Lincoln Theatre. Tickets start at $25.
