Raleigh, N.C. — A runoff election is set for the District A council seat in Cary.
Following the counting of provisional ballots on Monday, Councilwoman Jennifer Robinson leads challenger Lori Bush, 49 to 42 percent.
Bush filed a written request asking for a runoff if Robinson didn't have more than 50 percent of the vote, according Board of Elections spokeswoman Cherie Poucher.
The runoff will be held Nov. 3.
