RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Restaurant furnishings, card key room locks, carpets, drapes, and just about everything else inside the Radisson Research Triangle Park is currently for sale as the building’s new owners host a liquidation sale prior to demolishing the landmark structure.

The Radisson, formerly known as the Governor's Inn, was built in 1972 and has performed poorly in recent years as more hotels opened in the area.

Research Triangle Foundation, which operates Research Triangle Park, purchased the building to prevent someone else from acquiring the site and bringing in a hotel that doesn’t meet RTP’s standards.

No word on what the foundation plans to do with the space.
