Ligon Middle School will be closed Monday due to a power line failure related to Tropical Storm Hanna, Wake County Public Schools officials said in an e-mail Sunday.

Cary greenways closed due to flooding

MacDonald Woods Park and Marla Dorrel Park are closed as well as the following greenways: White Oak Greenway between Jenks Road and Parkscene Drive; Oxford Hunt Greenway; and multiple sections of the Black Creek Greenway and Southbridge Greenway. The Town is also temporarily suspending boat rentals at the Fred G. Bond Metro Park.

Flooding at several locations in downtown Belhaven

There was flooding in Belhaven today at several locations downtown. Anywhere between a couple of inches to a couple of feet. It is now receding but there is still water in these locations. Downtown Belhaven is in extremely low elevation. Flooding happens often – they are used to it. No injuries were reported. Very limited power outages.

Bridges and housing developments flooded in Timberlake

I live in Timberlake. A lot of the bridges by my house are flooded. There are a few housing developments off of Guess Rd by my area that are flooded also. Hopefully the water will recede soon.

Thankful for no damage in Lucama

Lucama NC...we have had a lot of rain since last night; but no damage.. I live in a home surrounded by trees and only have one old limb down. Thank you God for sending NC the rain it needed without a lot of damage.
