Demystifying RSS
RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication. It is a standard that enables content producers such as a WRAL.com to easily redistribute their news and information.
RSS affords Web visitors the ability to develop highly personalized news pages. Want state and local news from WRAL.com, tech news from CNET.com, international news from the BBC and sports headlines from ESPN? RSS makes it possible.
To make it easier for WRAL.com visitors to identify and view RSS feeds, we recently added "Get RSS" links on every section of our site for which content feeds are available. National portals such as Yahoo and Google allow users to add local news feeds by supplying the URLs or Web addresses for those feeds. You can find a complete list of our news feeds on our RSS information page.
