I’ve been working in WRAL-TV’s Fayetteville bureau for 16 years. I came here straight out of college!

Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Broadcasting, 1992
University of North Carolina at Pembroke

It’s my job to make the story visually compelling for the viewer.

Birthplace:
Ottawa, Canada (My Dad grew up in Fayetteville but was playing professional football in Canada when my brother and I were born. I grew up in Red Springs, N.C.)

Hobbies, Interests & Community Involvement:
In my time off, I enjoy spending time with my family and playing music any chance I get. I am in the praise band at Haymount United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.

Favorite Books & Movies:
I’m a big fan of anything “Star Wars” related! And I am a sucker for funny movies with TV news elements, such as “Bruce Almighty,” “Anchorman” and “Groundhog Day.”

Likes Best About North Carolina:
I love the beach, being close to my family and of course, the North Carolina Tarheels!

Most Memorable Assignments:
They are all memorable, but what stands out are the many hurricanes I’ve covered, flying with the 82nd Airborne on a C-130 to a training exercise at West Point, covering the Final Four in Tampa, the countless presidential visits to Fort Bragg and watching the rebirth of Fayetteville’s downtown over the years.
