Most Memorable Assignments:
I've interviewed everyone from Hillary Clinton to George Clooney. Although Mr. Clooney ranks as one of my all-time favorite celebrity interviews, I have to say I was most inspired by Lindsay Avner.

Though she didn't have breast cancer the, then-23-year-old chose to undergo a double mastectomy. Her grandmother and great-grandmother died from the disease, and her mother was diagnosed when she was 41-years-old. After learning she inherited the gene that would give her an 80 percent risk of breast cancer, she said she felt like she was a ticking time bomb just waiting to be diagnosed. So, she took the brave step of getting a double mastectomy. I was able to interview her in between reconstructive surgeries, and I was inspired by her guts, her spirit, and her passion for life.
