Awards & Recognition:
Christi has won several journalism awards, including two Emmys. One Emmy was for her work as an embedded journalist with the 101st Airborne at the beginning of the war in Iraq. Christi has also taken honors from The Associated Press. She’s been recognized for her work on educational stories and won a Community Service Award from the Metro Nashville Police Department in Nashville, Tenn.

Most Memorable Assignments:
Watching a 3-year-old girl named Olivia undergo a risky liver transplant from a mismatched donor. The donor was living, and gave part of a her liver to Olivia. There were many scary moments after the transplant, and Olivia almost didn’t make it. Today, she is a healthy, happy teenager.
