Rouzer to run for Congress again

Posted April 9, 2013

— Five months after losing the 7th District race to Congressman Mike McIntyre, Republican David Rouzer said Tuesday that he plans to run again for the seat in 2014.

Rouzer, a former state senator from Johnston County, lost to McIntyre by 654 votes out of more than 337,000 votes cast in November.

"I will fight to cut Washington’s wasteful spending habits, work to get the government off of the backs of our entrepreneurs and small-business owners and get our national debt under control so that every individual has the opportunity to be prosperous and achieve the American dream," Rouzer said in a statement.

Bob Rosser, a long-time North Carolina campaign and media consultant, and Brock McCleary, a senior strategist with the National Republican Congressional Committee in 2010 and 2012, will serve as general consultants for Rouzer's campaign.

Maybe he'll use his grandma for a 'shield' again when he talks about social security. LOL, Rouzer.

Does he really think people will vote him into office so that he can propose more nonsense anti-sea level rise legislation to the US House like he did in the NC House?

To paraphrase his bill- I see no historical evidence of Rouzer being elected to the US House, therefore, it is impossible for it to happen.

And he'll get defeated...again. Time to gerrymander some more.
