ROLESVILLE, N.C. — A Rolesville man and woman are accused of stealing steel drilling rods worth thousands of dollars from a construction site and selling them for cash.

Rolesville police charged Latasha Curtis, 30, and Timothy Adam Cannady, 31, both of the 200 block of Lightbreeze Street, with one count each of felony larceny and possession of stolen goods, according to warrants issued Wednesday.

Police said the pair stole the rods, worth about $16,000, from the Trafford Corp., and Cannady sold them for $151 to a recycling facility.

Cannady, who is also charged with obtaining property by false pretense, was held in the Wake County jail on $80,000 bond. Curtis was held on a $20,000 bond.
