Rocky Mount police and store managers are teaming up to cut down on late-night crime and safety issues at a convenience store on Wesleyan Boulevard.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Rocky Mount police and store managers are teaming up to cut down on late-night crime and safety issues at a convenience store on Wesleyan Boulevard.

Early Saturday, officers broke up a fight in a parking lot at the Circle K, 770 N. Wesleyan Blvd. Darrius Davis, 18, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct.

Police said the store's parking lot has become a meeting place after clubs close, particularly on weekends.

Store managers are working on safety measures, and police have stepped up patrols in the area.
