Rocky Mount Mourns Loss of Church Leader

The Rev. Ernest Battle of Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church drowned while he was fishing Monday night. The Sheriff's Department does not suspect foul play.
The 54-year-old would have celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary next week.
A memorial service for the pastor will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at his former church.
